Odin is the first vaporizer released by TopBond and we have to admit that it’s a really successful debut! It must be stressed that the ideas for the design and functionality of Odin were based – among others – on the consultations with one of the largest American communities related to vaporization. No surprise that Odin features a wide range of characteristics that the users are looking for: a glass mouthpiece and a ceramic heating chamber guarantee unspoiled flavor of the herbs, a hybrid (convection and conduction) heating system helps vaporize efficiently and evenly, the device is powered by a durable battery and is locked in an elegant and sturdy plastic cover. If on top of that you add the precise control of the temperature, an OLED display and a really competitive price of Odin, you’ll get one of the best value for money products among all vaporizers available on the market.
Odin vaporizer was released in mid-2016 as a debut device of TopBond company and we believe it was one of the best premieres of the year! Odin has a really interesting construction – it’s quite a small, rectangular device with the mouthpiece hidden in a compartment at the bottom of the vaporizer, which reminds us of the solution used in Flowermate. The air from the outside reaches the heating system through the mouthpiece compartment so by opening it slightly you can regulate the air supply to the chamber. Some prefer a stronger resistance when they draw the vapor and this interesting solution lets you control the air flow.
The device is made of high-quality materials that are safe for your health. Odin vaporizer is very simple in use as it has only one function button (switch on/off) and two buttons for setting the temperature. All you need to do is take the mouthpiece out of the compartment, fill the chamber with your favorite herbs and place the mouthpiece on the chamber. Set the preferred temperature and you can start vaping! The cover remains nicely cool even during long inhalation sessions.
Odin has a hybrid heating system that uses the advantages of both convection and conduction: the efficiency and the quality of the vapor are much better than in the case of conduction heating but the vaporizer reaches the required temperature much faster (45-60 seconds) than the majority of convection devices and it provides a large amount of vapor from the first draw. The nozzle system in the chamber (the chamber fits a maximum of c.a. 04,-0,5 g of herbs) guarantees an even and efficient vaporization. This heating system makes Odin very versatile when it comes to how the herbs are ground or what quantity you place in the chamber – the device performs well regardless of these aspects.
The quality of the vapor generated by Odin vaporizer is very high and can be compared to the one produced by Boundless CFX. Even though the vapor passes a very short route between the device and the mouth, it’s still mild and delicate in the temperature of up to 210-215 degrees, which is above average. The amount of vapor is also really satisfying so you can make some decent looking puffs.
The temperature is digitally regulated with one-degree precision and you can control it thanks to a built-in OLED display. Odin has no troubles at all holding the temperature even with strong draws, which is a huge plus. The highest available temperature is 230 degrees Celsius.
Odin is powered with a standard 1650 battery that lasts for up to 10 sessions. It takes around 2 hours to charge it fully (via a USB port).
The only drawback seems to be the glass mouthpiece that is fragile enough to break when dropped on the floor. Luckily, the set comes with a spare mouthpiece.
Odin Vaporizer pros:
– great efficiency;
– good flavor of the vapor;
– high-quality finish;
– affordable price.
Odin Vaporizer cons:
– glass mouthpiece can break easily;
– battery cannot be replaced.
